I remember faintly going to preschool and loving to be in the block center. I'm laughing to myself right now because that is also my sons favorite place in school. He will throw a tantrum and sign other classmates out (which is against the rules) of block center just to be there.
Every Christmas I would ask my mom to buy me these
so that even when I wasn't in school I could be in my favorite block center at home. She never did and I am going to ask her why!

Okay now I am going to date myself but I remember my first year of kindergarten was the last year our public schools would send you home for lunch. I use to love seeing my Mom walk up to the school yard, and holding her hand on the way home. We would eat together and then she would take me back to school. Wow, I hadn't thought about that in a long time!
ReplyDeleteYea, Tamika, you just dated yourself. While you go put your walking stick away (lol), my favorite part of the day was circle time because I always knew the answers to the teacher's review questions :) I liked coloring. I liked when the student teacher came because she always brought treats. I also liked taking names especially because it meant that I couldn't get in trouble for talking which happened very often:)
