Another thing that I had thought of when me and my daughter headed to Old Navy for the Flip Flop sale was what was trending when I was growing up and yes, you guessed it JELLIES!!!!!

I don't think you can get these for a buck a pop! But they are trending again and the look so cute. I wonder if they will stick to your feet and trap tons of dirt on your feet like they did back in the day! My sister and I used to really make my mother mad. We we would sit on the edge of our street where the fire hydrant was open and flowing heavily with water the straps to our jellies were not fastened and they would come off and float. And we would chase them but sometimes we didn't run behind them fast enough and they would go down into the storm drain
You think you could work a pair of jellies right now if they came in your size?
See you tomorrow for more Flash Back Birthday Memories its getting close to the end!
Oh YEAH I loved my Jellies!! Woot! Although I never lost any in the drain LOL I do remember they used to have the hydrants open...those were the days..
ReplyDeleteYes "back in the days when I was young, not a kid anymore, some days I sit and wish I was a kid again". I actually had one of those moments earlier this week LOL
I loved my jellies, too :) I wouldn't dare go back. No matter how cute they come nowadays, I still refuse to buy a pair for my nieces. My sister has bought some really cute ones for them though.
ReplyDeleteI've enjoyed your flashbacks!
OMG Jellies! I used to love Jellies! We would wear our all summer long whether it was in the tree fort or in the lake. We never took them off unless the strap broke! I think I actually had a couple of different colours too! I wonder if they come in my size cause I think I could still rock 'em ... just saying ;)
ReplyDeleteI totally LOVED jellies!!! I even found a pair at Old Navy for my baby girl to wear and I bought them!!! they were too cute, how could I resist!!!
ReplyDeleteLoved em, and would totally consider wearing them again, except that I think my girls would want to wear them, and that's a no-no. Mom's can't wear the same clothing as their 12 and 10 year old, lol.
ReplyDelete...somedays I sit and wish I was a kid again...(finishing your song)..lol..loved that song AND I loved my jellies! Memories!
ReplyDeleteAnd you know what...YES! I think I would rock a pair of jellies...not sure what the hell I would wear them with! LOL...and yeah they would cause the greatest amount of toe jam! Thanks for the memories!
