Kids say...

One thing I love about my daughter at this age is she is so much like me that she is constantly writing me these little notes. The same way I used to write notes to my mother.  Back then I felt I could communicate anything to her in writing. Isn't learning to write in school a blessing?!
Since she picked up a crayon I have been trying to document her skills and growth by either saving her work in a box or taking photos of it and scrapping it when it gets out of control.  Now she has about 5 notebooks filled with stories and what not.  I keep buying them to let her continue to improve her writing skills.

As I mentioned my world was a little shaken up by some of the kids extra curriculum changes.  On Wednesday nights my daughter attends a computer class called TGH-Technology Goes Home a program that strives to ensure that all residents of the City of Boston are provided with the tools, training, and access to support 21st century skill development.  In addition, TGH provides opportunities for all residents to connect to schools, community programs and assets, government agencies, and each other.  The TGH program offers residents the ability to improve their quality of life as new members of the online community.

So there was a lottery to get into this class and my daughter was very excited. Most of that excitement is because at the end of the 7 week computer class with a $50 fee you get a Net book to take home!  This is what she left out for me on top of the sign up sheet.
Now little does she know I will hold her to that cleaning part. So far the class has been really fun and the students are learning a lot of new things.
