Save the planet.

In the efforts to save the planet (by my standards) for the future of my kids and yours, I hardly ever, OK NEVER!, throw out scraps of papers. In my own mind I feel like someday there will be a calling for that paper strip, or small piece or cardstock. I've been told over and over "throw that away", but I can't.

My plan is to get the  most out of my scrappings and make cards with them.  I have seen people do a whole LO and it blow me away with the skill and innovative ideas created with a few scraps of paper!!!!

collected from other places, things & clothes
Cutting down paper for LO's left behinds
ribbins & packagings

This weekend as I cleaned up my scrap space for the night and added more scrappings to the bags, I thought to re organize them and PURGE!  I think this purge was about 25% of my stash and it sort of felt good.

In the barrel you go!

From nothing you become a beautiful butterfly
Of course I just couldn't through out pieces without justification, because I have no size limits or rules about what I will save.  So the smaller ones I
made these adorable butterflies.

I am going to challenge myself to use all of these pieces by 8-8-12! I will feature a project done with them right here as I complete them.

Is this crazy or what?

  1. Work it, Mama!!! I generate lots of scraps since I do mostly 8.5x11's. I take time out every time I get a pile and punch a bunch of circles and squares for later kreations! Can't wait to see what you kreate!!!
