Who Shot Ya!!

Well this weekend was what my kids call an "Exciting & fun filled weekend" ! Thats because we actually DID something this weekend. 

Well my dear friend hosted her sons party at Boston Bowl.  My kids have been SUPER excited since last weekend when she invited us to come.

  I guess I was half listening when my girlfriend told me about the party.  I just knew it was next week and being that I was told on a Saturday I assumed that meant it was the following Saturday.  I don't remember the time or location.  I just know that I used it as a threat all week to keep my kids in line.  "If you don't clean your room you won't be going to that party on Saturday.  If you keep picking at your sister you won't go to that party on Saturday." and so on. LOL

So Saturday morining I said to myself "Geez, what time does this party start?"  So I did the thing to do now and texted my girlfriend.  I didn't get an answer. So I did may Saturday routine which consists mostly of NOTHING.  I made breakfast and headed to the couch to watch TV, browse through my new CK & Scrapbook Etc magazines and surf the web. 

Around noon I bathed myself & the kids in anticipation of getting dressed to leave for the party soon.  I decided to check my cell for a response...nothing? So I said hey nows a good time for a nap.  My dd & I nap but my son would NOT go to sleep he kept telling me, "Mommy aren't we going to he party?, Mommy get up its not 2 o'clock you need to wake up."  When I opened my eyes it was 4 pm!!! I thought OK great time for a party to begin.

We dress and head over to my girlfriends house and ring the bell.  She comes to the door looking surprised to see me?  I said, "Hey we're here for the party."  She said, "Oh no its tomorrow 4-6pm!" I said, "OH!!!!"  The kids were dissappointed.

Sunday a do over!  We're ringing the bell no answer. So I phone her and kept getting her voicemail.  My son says, "Hand me your phone let me call her."  Like he's a little man or something holding the phone to his ear and tapping his foot.  My daughter says, " Mommy don't you ever ask for directions or something?"  Excuse me miss!!!!!  I left a text and a voicemail.

An 1/2 hour passes and I am calling to have hubs  pick us up & she phones back.  I say, "We're at your house isn't that where the party is supposed to be? she says, NO!!! It's at Boston Bowl!!!!" I said, "OH!!!" So when hubs swoops around my kids excitedly jump in there car seats and yell "Daddy the party is NOT here its @ Boston BOWL!!!!" He says, "She told you that last Saturday!"  Then why'd you drop me off at her house????? LOL

We head over to Boston Bowl the parties in motion but the kids are happy we're still made it.  Now in the back of my mind I did think what could you do at a 2 hour party but cake and icecream.  Didn't dawn on me that it was probably at a venue that hosted parties and thats why it was a 2 hour thing.  So the kids eat pizza, sing happy birthday and get their goodie bags filled with candy,prizes and tokens for the arcade!!!!

We head over theres a mini carasouel, pin ball, machine, dancing machines,race car driving, you name it! We do it all!

The party is about to come to an end but my son really wants to play this ball tossing game.  So we get our last tokens out and the 5 balls roll down.    He gets excited and is jumping up and down.   He picks up a ball and on the first toss gets it in. The second time he misses. I show him that you have to curl the ball a little like bowling and toss it up the lane.  I demonstrate.  So I am standing there watching him do his thing and like a flash back of labor pains , NO worst than that something BASHES me in the eye! I keel over in pain! I am dizzy the music playing sounds weird. Its like a movie.  A man at from the air hockey table comes over to see if I am all right.  I hear "The kids ball hit her in the face." I am thinking WHAT kid!!!?  My son says " Oh! I'm sorry mommy it was an accident."  I didnt know if it was from another table or a planet fell out of orbit! I am crying now! Well just a little.  We stand out and wait for our ride I just can't believe what just happened.  My head is pounding. I just hoped that I didnt end up with a black eye.  In the car the kiddies sang Fresh Beat Bands -We had a great day!  But mommy's all busted up.

But today I am OK just a little headache now and then.  I am going to see my eye doctor because its a little blood shot.  But I don't think we will be going back there unless I am wearing a helmet! LOL
