OK I am on a scrap fast until July hopefully. It was offically supposed to be until 3/15/09 but I thought I'd extend it until my birthday because I spend way too much.
Its not a problem I haven't really had an itch to make any purchases. But once you say something like that thats what ususally happens huh.
Or maybe its because just before the fast I had placed major orders of what I thought were must haves?? Some sites take so long with the shipping I am getting packages like every other week so it doesn't really feel like a fast. Is it not a fast if you intentionally shopped first to satisfy your needs before the fast actually began?
Well I hope to get a lot of pictures and pretty papers and embellies and whatever united during this time and make room for more!
I have a lot of ideas in my head and a lot of new photos to add to the billion I already had. I went to a bowling party for my friends son on Saturday and my own son turned 2 on Sunday so I really want to get those printed and worked on. Hopefully new photos will not make me think I need new papers or I don't have the right supplies to do a LO?! that would be real bad.
Whats a girl to do?

ReplyDeleteokay here's the deal---i havent bought anything for 2 whole months---it didnt kill me---it juss made me use the other stuff i haven't used yet--i think fasting is good for the soul and your purse---so as of last friday, i've spent $60 in items I NEEDED--big difference---had to stock up on adhesives and selected papers for my mini-albums---so from me to you, YOU GO GURLLLLL!!!---good luck with going in to stores and seeing those eye candies---calling at you sayin' "hey gurl, i'm right here, you know you want me!" (LOL)---remain blessed!!!
ReplyDeleteWell I was just laid off so I definitely will be fasting from haulage of scrap stuff. Sucks too. I was about to do some major damage....like hundreds to start a business of cardmaking and invitations. That's definitely on hold now.
ReplyDeleteI told myself I was gonna do that especially since I am in the middle of a purge and clean of the scrap studio but as you can tell from my blog, I fell off the wagon yesterday :(...am gonna try again after GASC this weekend but am giving myself a limit of $ 25.
